The 602 Club 31: The Imagination of Hope

Tomorrowland

In 1955 Walt Disney opened the Tomorrowland park at Disneyland in California. It was meant to be a beacon of hope for generations to come by showing how far our imaginations and ingenuity can take us.

In this episode of The 602 Club host Matthew Rushing is joined by Mike Schindler and new recruit Bruce Gibson to talk about Brad Bird’s Tomorrowland. We discuss our first impressions, Disney’s imagination station, fighting cynicism, pulling the heart strings, Hugh Laurie, why we invite, originality problems and our final thoughts.
