Earl Grey 325: Polygamy on Steroids

Jack Crusher

Best friend to Captain Jean-Luc Picard, husband to Dr. Beverly Crusher, and father to Wesley Crusher. We only get to see Jack Crusher in a few short appearances. In one, he's a hologram, in another he's a hallucination, and in the third he's dead. In "Family," we see a holographic Jack Crusher with a message for Wesley from when he was a baby. Then, in "Violations" we see Beverly's painful memory of visiting Jack in the morgue after Captain Picard had return his body to Earth. Finally, Wesley receives another message in the form of a hallucination in "Journey's End."

In this episode of Earl Grey, hosts Joe Keegan and Amy Nelson discuss the character of Jack Crusher, including his role as father, husband, and best friend, as we try to piece together the facts we have about him to give us an idea of what kind of man he was.
